"I lived in Winterton from 1933 to 1938 and my father was the Coastguard. I was only 4 years old when we left but I still have good memories of that time, such as the sports day for the Silver Jubilee of King George V in1935, and of the village hall where my brother once sang " if you were the only girl in the world". I visited the villiage briefly for an hour in 1976 when I was in Norwich on business and I met two ladies who I think ran the post office I believe one of them was named Green, they remembered my family and me as a baby. I now live on the south coast at Portsmouth and would love to hear from anyone would remember those times, Probably not too many ! Maurice Pitman August 2009 Maurice_pitman&tiscali.co.uk"
